Blah, blah, blah 50 Shades of Grey. I’m not here to talk to you about the film (be grateful as I have strong opinions of it…) but rather the take up of fetish clothing for day-wear (where your day job isn’t being a dominatrix). Kim K has recently been enjoying donning latex from couture latex brand Atsuko Kudo and I must say, I’m loving it.
Atsuko Kudo Leggings
These are the reasons why latex leggings are the perfect leggings:
- They are tight to the body, super tight and therefore hold everything in the places they should be held in (ass up, thighs in)
- They’re so tight that you don’t have to worry about seams messing up the perfect flow of your outfit. Look at her ankles – perfect flow of legging into flesh
- The latex creates the perfect wet, or in this case molten, look and a great contrast to other textures in the look
Note: in this case it is perfectly acceptable not to wear a top not long enough to cover your arse as these leggings are super opaque and you wouldn’t want to ruin everyone’s view of your perky arse (see reason 1. above). Also let’s be honest you’re not wearing any underwear with these so we don’t have to worry about everyone seeing those slogan boyshort panties you thought were ‘cute’ (burn them). Yeah, so before you call me a hypocrite for my last comment about leggings there are exceptions to every rule.
Now, there are some questions I have surrounding the fact that these leggings are made out of latex (having never worn latex before): do they squeak when you walk in them? Do I really have to put them on with lube (this weirds me out)? Will they be a massive ordeal to get on? Will I need a team of 4 to help me into them?
If the answers to the above are yes, yes, yes and yes (respectively) then are these latex leggings really worth it? Yes. The squeaking will only divert more attention toward your incredible look, in which you have successfully and stylishly managed to wear a item of fetish clothing on the streets (not in a prostitute-y way). You’ll get over the lube part. The ordeal will be worth it and why have friends in the first place!? To aid with fashion executions of course.
Kim is wearing the “Pearlsheen silver”/Pewter leggings from Atsuko Kudo, £160.
