OOTD: Riding Polo

A classic polo is a staple. Not only for players of the polo or private school kids or those who summer in the Hamptons, a polo shirt is for all. Now, let’s be honest, the ruler of all polos is Ralph Lauren. Available in more colours than weaves Rihanna has snatched through her outfit choices, there’s so much choice there’s one you’re bound to love. Everyone’s doing polo shirts now anyway so if a tiny man on a horse sitting on top of your left breast isn’t your thing there are other options. I decided to go for Aquaberry (shout out to Riff Raff) (that’s not the actual name of the colour) for this OOTD as I have some sort of strange attraction to the colour blue (always have).

The issue with polo shirts is that it is very easy to get into a rut with them. A rut of wearing them with jeans and flip flops (*side eye* no, thank you) or with shorts and flip flops and then you forget to think outside of this weird little combination and you don’t even think twice as you pair them together.

Revelation: polo shirts look super cute with skirts.

I’ve decided to pair grey with the Aqua polo ’cause I thought they’d make a cute couple together. With regards to the shoes… I dunno, there no logic there, I thought they’d look hot (mission accomplished).

Btw, I ironed the Swarovski motif on the back of the cardigan to elevate it a little (it needed some help).
