What To Wish For: Christmas Beauty Gift Guide

Yes, here we are almost at the end of the year but there’s one more huge event to be celebrated before its all champagne glass clinking and kissing strangers (NYE)…the birth of baby Jesus. Christmas is fast approaching and so begins the panic of gifting. Whether you started buying your presents three months ago, you haven’t even planned who’s getting what yet or you’re one of those “hit the shops on Christmas Eve” kind of people, this little So Versailles guide I’ve put together should help you out with those make up aficionados in your life. Any make up lover, new to the game or a seasoned player, would be fans of the selection I’ve gathered for you below. There’s lots in the selection so make sure you click the arrows so you see everything.

Here’s a little hint, if you’re struggling – get a palette. Palettes are such an easy winner for Christmas presents. There’s loads in play this time of year and it’s much better than taking a risk on eye shadows (though I’ve featured some absolute killers) that the receiver may hate but can’t bear to let you know the truth through a strained smile and eyes that say “why!?”. With palettes the receiver will end up liking at least one. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette is the one that’s caused the most hype this year but I’m obsessed with the Laura Mercier Daring By Day – all the eye shadows are shimmery, the colours are glorious and there’s a blush and highlighter to bring everything together.

Agreed Pallettes are a great win, especially if you do for nudes/ neutral tones as most people will like them! Also I love the Charlotte Tilbury set, I might have to treat myself x

You really can’t go wrong with a Jo Malone fragrance, at any time of year – hint hint, husband! 😉 Tx
