Golden Globes 2016 Best and Worst Dressed

Ladies & Gentlemen last night Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globe awards and as usual I have taken it upon myself to judge those who sashay along the red carpet all smug and photogenic-looking. In no particular order…

Best Dressed

Sophia Bush

So simple, so classic, yet still so beautiful *snaps for Sophia*.

Jane Fonda

You glorious woman, absolutely slaying it in white at…wait for it…78. How is that even possible?!

JLO

Yes girl. Everything about this look is so right: the colour, JLO’s popped leg, the cap sleeves, her lip colour. So much props to her stylist.

Judith Light

Arguably, my favourite look of the night, Judith shut it down and put a lot of the youngsters to shame. Yes, girl werq.

Taraji P. Henson

The Queen arrived, and killed it. Sidenote: white was definitely the golden globes colour this year.

Lily James

I’m kind of obsessing over how ethereal and fantasy/mythical character this look is. Loving it.

Laverne Cox

Another simple, classic look, the colour looks incredible on her and, as usual, she slays.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

This woman’s face and body wrapped up in this beautiful golden number (life is just so unfair) prove that yes, it is possible to win the genetic lottery…

Kate Hudson

Bitch, took me by surprise, this is…amazing. The colour match to her skin, the shimmer, the 2 piece matching her choker uhhhh just so much right! Kate…I have no words…

Zendaya

Girl, how you make a 3-tierd skirt on a dress look so good? Tell me all your secrets. Zendaya, as usual, shuts it down in this ox-blood gown – her hair and accessories match so well too. Killing it, girl.

Worst Dressed

Tiziana Rocca

Ok so, I apologise if I’m being super ignorant for not knowing who this woman is…but I’m not about to apologise for saying she is wearing one frumpy dress. Nothing here is doing her any favours, that awful frou-frou skirt and wait…is the skirt translucent!?

Amy Schumer

This just, like, doesn’t work…

Tracey Edmonds

The poor woman looks like she mauled an ostrich and just to make matters worse…the dress is backless *face palm*.

Liliana Vazquez

This woman has seemingly been drowned in a cloud of cobalt chiffon…and who told her that hair would go well with that dress?

Maggie Gyllenhaal

I don’t remember the last time she was on a best dressed list…ever…

Regina King

Now, Regina, you’re one of my faves, you’re brilliant but this outfit is gonna make me have to go for eye test – so many sequins in so many directions with a train that looks like it was chopped off of someone else’s dress its so detached from the look. So sad…

Diana Gabaldon

Was this woman aware that she was going to an awards show in the evening, at which she would be photographed…for the world to see? Because she didn’t dress like it…

Props also go to Jennifer Lawrence and Lady Gaga who got onto the red carpet after I went to bed but check out their dresses – the Golden Globes done right.

Oooh I love Judith Light, have been a fan of hers since the 80’s (Who’s the boss!). Shame you didn’t do the boys as I had a friend up for an award!
