NYC Travel Diary: Day 1+2 & OOTD

Guess who’s back? Back again? Sorry guys, not Shady, it’s me (little bit of a let down I know, but stick with me). Happy 2016! Let’s start this bitch off with a bang and a little throwback to my trip to NYC – my NYC travel diary and OOTDs. Following a 7.5 hour flight, exhausting all the good films on the flight, and an awkward airport transfer ride I was ready for some crawfish.

If you’re new here, you can read all about my undying love for the tiny, buttery, baby lobster-looking crustaceans in my NYC diary from the summer. The Boil really is the only place in NYC for crawfish/a Louisiana boil – the one time I branched out to somewhere else it was super disappointed so…lesson learned. Oh, btw we had to wait 1.5 hours to be seated so you know the food was good if I happily wandered around the streets of a deserted downtown. Also, I tried a cannoli for the first time…not all that, don’t waste your calories.

OOTD Details

Jacket> Ralph Lauren, read my previous post about it
Pearls> Some random place in Hawaii
Jumper Body> Carine Roitfeld for Uniqlo, similar here and here
Belt> Hermes
Day 2 rolled around and although I woke up at 5am (jet lag is a real bitch) I was more than ready to start dropping some cash. I went for a casual look laced with pearls. Pearls are always associated with classy grandmas like Joan Collins or stuck-up mother-in-laws so I decided to remix it up a bit to make them look more casual. Lunch at Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant was super tasty (as usual), if you love fish, go here, it’s worth it.
