Y’all know I love me some sneakers, and in particular, skater shoes – yes, I’m about that life (minus the actual skating). Loads of designers have added skater shoes to their collections from Céline to Alexander McQueen (ooh rhyming skillz) but Joshua Sanders pretty much built a collection around the sneaker shoe, so obvs I was all up in that collection weaselling around for my favourites and…it didn’t take me long to find them.
I’m mainly obsessed with the brand because of how perfectly street they are – they’re the perfect statement sneaker – some are basketball team orientated with special Lakers pairs and Knicks pairs, there’s an emerald satin pair with glittering NY letters on the toes, there’s the ‘bowbomb’ pair with huge jersey, mesh or satin bows covering the shoes (very street style photography worthy – love) but my favourites have to be the pairs with slogans on the front of the shoes: Bad Girl, Good Boy, Play Hard or my absolute fave Don’t Touch (#NEED). Did I also mention there’s a pair that looks like a pig and it’s called “Bacon, The Pig”…um, yes.
The brand’s tag line is “Heart in NYC, made in Italy” which is the perfect marriage of creativity and quality, no? What more do you want from a bomb pair of sneakers? The best thing about skater shoes is their versatility – not only do they look cool with a pair of jeans but you can get away with (some of) them for work (as I’m doing right now as I write this on my commute), with a skirt or a dress. So what I’m saying is, it’s like saving money because the shoes are appropriate for everything right? It’s practically a steal when you think about it (this is how I justify purchases in my mind). Moral of the story: Joshua Sanders sneakers are at the top of my sneaker #NEED list.
What do you think of the brand , because obviously, I’m in love?
