As we all know, I’ve been on a spiritual journey of discovery through foundations. Full coverage? Check. Light coverage? Check. Buildable? Check. A skin perfector? Sorry…what? Literally having no idea what this meant, I found out that it’s a bridge between a BB cream/tinted moisturiser and a foundation, and therefore perfect for the summer months. Should I lie and tell you that it wasn’t the packaging that lured me in but what i’d heard about the performance of the Urban Decay One & Done? You know me better than that, the packaging seduced me (as it always does). But is the Urban Decay One & Done Skin Perfector really any good?
Urban Decay One & Done Skin Perfector Review
Here’s the thing: I bought it although I was a little sceptical about what difference this would actually make to my face. I thought the coverage might be too light that there would be pretty much no point…I was pleasantly surprised. The coverage is just enough, perfect for light make up days but when you still want to maintain your slayage because somehow through some sorcery it blurs out imperfections. If you have acne or acne scarring or skin issues that you want to cover up then this isn’t for you – it’s definitely for your better skin days, but you can always dot a little of a heavier coverage foundation on small areas of your face if need be.
The finish is matte enough but still manages to give a glowing/dewy complexion – damn girl, winning. If you’re after a lighter coverage for summer or a no-make up make up look (why do people do this?) or you just have insanely good skin (I’m jealous) then the Urban Decay One & Done Skin Perfector will treat you well. If you want something heavier coverage check out the Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able foundation I reviewed not too long ago or Vichy’s Dermablend.
Have you heard about Urban Decay’s One & Done? What are your thoughts on a lighter coverage “skin perfector”?
