But I’ve had perfect matches throughout that time before they died due to over-use, my favourite being a pair of PRPS jeans which I’ve never found since *cries*. It was heartbreaking, truly.
Here’s what I’m looking for in the perfect pair: the ability to make me look better than I actually do, some level of comfort, skinny (it’s best for my body shape – no boot cuts around here) and preferably ending around my ankle. Right now I’m enjoying rips and basically anything which looks like a dog could have been using my jeans as a chew toy….’cause it’s summer (but I’m getting a crazy knee tan…).
Everyone loves Topshop jeans and I’m far past late to this party and I guess because I don’t usually shop at Topshop I’ve always ruled it out. Not too long ago I bit the bullet and bought a pair of the Joni jeans, which where cute but not really what I was after, then I bought the Jamie jeans. They’re everything. I now need them in every colour and rip-level available. I’ve found my match (for now).
However, I’m not proud, but I have a wandering eye in this relationship and recently I’ve been checking out Made Gold. I don’t know how long they’ve been around for but it feels like I’ve only just started hearing about them – they’re like the bad kid on the jeans block. They do these ridiculously badass ones which lace all the way down the front or all the way up the sides (the Betty lace ups), which look incredible on and also would supply a little airflow (handy). They also do these paint-splatter jeans – I told you generally abused jeans were in right now – which are equally as fabulous and will bring up your group average by quite a bit.
Confession: I hate denim jackets, ok fine, I greatly dislike them, which is why I was shocked by how easily swayed I was by Made Gold’s selection, which is next level by the way. I’m particularly drawn to the oversized one with bling chain mail detailing the back of the jacket. I’ll leave the link to my gofundme page below…for contributions toward this jacket, thanks.
What’s your relationship like with Jeans? What’s your go-to denim brand?
