I haven’t been wearing skirts recently, really for no other reason than I can’t be arsed with them – I’d much rather slither myself into a pair of jeans and go on with my life rather than constantly fearing I’m flashing the world (you’re welcome, World). Anyway, last week I thought I’d make things interesting for the ColorProof bloggers brunch and throw on a skirt for once and get over myself (fun fact: some random guy on Instagram sent me a DM telling me to get over myself hahahahah).
Much to Young Thug’s dismay, blue looks good on me (if you didn’t get that reference, Thugger is a blood, and if you don’t know what that is then Google it and educate yourself) and I was using my MCM X-mini that week so thought I’d play into a blue/grey/black colour way and run with it. Speaking of Young Thug, if you haven’t watched his ‘Wyclef Jean’ music video you need to, it’s genius (pls be over the age of 16 or something tho).
The look ended up being a little school-girly, I think mainly due to the tiny backpack that I wore very proudly swanging on my lower back. As usual I wanted that smooth clean silhouette on the top so a trusty bodysuit was the way forward.
I wanted to wear heels but also didn’t want to come to a point 20 minutes into my day where I wanted to machete my feet off so I remembered these Kenzo ankle boots I’ve had for a few years now which you’d think on first impressions aren’t Me, but look at them with this look…very Me.

The fingerless gloves were my last decision on the outfit – I looked at the outfit and thought “Ca$$ie, you can do better” and remembered these fabulous aqua tweed Chanel fingerless gloves I got on the way to NYC two Christmases ago – slipped those bad boys on and watched them go off as the fireworks of my outfit. Also they matched this weird biker vibe the look ended up turning into.
