Sigh guys…it’s not been going well, I won’t lie to you…I’ve slacked majorly on the “working out” front. It’s not that I haven’t been working out but basically I’ve been eating everything in sight which apparently, when you do the maths, means I may as well have not worked out so….spoiler alert: the holiday prep has not been going to plan.
Travel Outfit is officially down
Sound the alarm, the travel outfit had changed and I feel the need to tell you. So, I ordered the Laina Rauma lounge set and listen, I was rooting for this so bad – I stand behind boss-bitch one-woman brands killing the game but….the pants don’t even have elastic in them 😔. They literally descend down my arse as I walk…they’re comfy but like, I’m not ready for an airport security moment where they pat me down and my pants just fall to the ground… So, she’s been substituted for a Velvet lounge suit from London Chic with my Gucci slip ons (for my departure) and my confetti sliders (upon arrival).
Skin looking glowy AF
In an effort to be on 10 before, during and after my trip to Bali, I went to Hidden Gem Beautique for a Neoelegance LED Mask facial. Yes, an LED mask. And yes, once on your face, the mask does make you look like you’re werqing those Hannibal Lecter vibes. Depending on what you’re after the mask glows red (anti ageing) or blue (purify – the one I went for) and basically uses light to make your skin cells do what you want them to and it increases collagen production in the process (always good). I sat there for 20 minutes loving life whilst the mask worked its magic. But did it actually work? You’re supposed to have these masks done regularly to see a huge difference but I woke up the next morning with super glowy soft skin so yes… I think I’m onto a winner.

I thought I’d have anxiety over the fact that I hadn’t decided exactly what will adorn my talons for Bali (even though I’m a week before my appointment) but then Pilis posted on Instagram a set they’d just done and…I’m sorted. I think I’ll just change the base colour to yellow maybe? I want them glittering and obnoxious.
Ok, I always find this an issue, especially on a long haul flight…how do you do your hair? Especially when you have hair like mine, that I don’t wash everyday and is dependant on styling products to behave itself – if I have it all huge and curly and mane-like by the end of the flight it will be a mess and I’ll probably find small in-flight snacks finding refuge in there… My other option is to just put it up nut that’s boring…unless…I get it braided. So a few hours before my taxi arrives I’m off to Clo & Flo in South Ken to get a couple braids put in then I’ll look like I’m executing a casual slay but still being lazy af (me).
