If you’ve been paying any kind of attention at all, I’ve been in Bali, yes, yes be jealous its ok. Anyway, after carefully planning my outfits for holiday, which always revolve around black (the colour of my soul), day one saw me in an oversized white shirt and black shorts – so here’s how to slay monochrome on holiday.
How to slay monochrome on holiday.
This shirt was one of those purchases that I’d planned a different life for in my head…I saw this shirt being worn more as a dress. Then I slipped it over my head, looked in the mirror and saw what can only be described as a milk bottle white, ill-fitting parachute – and that dream swiftly died. So the shirt was reincarnated for a Britney ‘One More Time’-inspired look, minus the pig tails and questionable lip liner. I paired the crisp shirt with the strong tailoring of these black shorts….ooh I almost sounded legit there.
Sunglasses: Rihanna for Dior in pink
Oversized shirt: Zara
Shorts: J Crew
Sliders: Super old Chanel ones
Bag: Dior, Diorama Pouch
You can keep your opinions to yourself over my sunglasses, yes they’re the Rihanna for Dior ones, yes some people love them and some people think I’ve taken something, I’m in the first club, obvs. Monochrome looks are made super easy if you go down the tailoring route – they don’t have to be super ‘smart’ looking, I made this look casual with some hella old sliders my Dad hooked me up with for my 15th birthday. Working monochrome on holiday is just so much easier with crisp cotton or linen shirts and some staple tailored shorts – super easy and it looks put together. Thank me later, you classy-looking bitches.
